Martin Bower's World of Models

My most recent commercially available design work is Martin Bower's World of Models.

Written by author Shaun McClure, this book chronicles the career of movie and TV model maker Martin Bower.  Spanning a lifetome of model making the book is set out in chronological order and showcases Martin's models for TV shows such as Space 1999 and films listing cult classic Alien.

I was given the opportunity to work on this book after working with Shaun on his previous passion project.  I was given free reign over the layout and design so I decided to use a high contrast minimalist design to bring out the photographs and make them the main focus in the book.

Cult Stars of the 70's& 80's

This was the first commercially available book I created for author Shaun McClure.  A pop culture magazine style book featuring interviews with some of Shaun's childhood celebrety heroes.  An impressive list of stars including Peter Purves, Johnny Ball, Melvyn Hayes, Paul Darrow, Ronnie Cox Brian Johnson and even Ronniele Drew who voiced Zippy from children's TV classic, Rainbow!

Graphic Design is a core skill and I have been working in this field from more than 25 years.  I have worked on all kinds of design material for a vast range of media, from news paper adverts to business material and posters as well as commercialy available books.

Web Design

I have been involved in various web development projects for over 10 years, I have developed web pageusing Adobe Flash and with HTML5.  For Comrie cinema club I developed an online shop to sell tickets to their events using PHP and PayPal payment system.  I am familiar with SQL and have also developed user registrations and database connection systems.  For ImpUnity Games I created a slideshow app from scratch to show off screen shots for games using JavaScript.
